What Is EMDR?

This one-hour, virtual presentation will feature a description of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) from acclaimed practitioner Donald F. deGraffenried, LCSW. EMDR is a psychotherapy that is successful in the treatment of traumatic events. This type of treatment has been found to be especially helpful to clients who have experienced trauma given it is not an exposure treatment model and does not require extensive talking about the traumatic incidents.

Donald F. deGraffenried, LCSW, has over twenty years of experience in providing EMDR therapy, both in-person and online, and was trained by the originator and developer of EMDR, Francine Shapiro, Ph.D. He has a specialization in working with the victims of interpersonal violence and has extensive experience working with homicide survivors.
