TRY: Breath & Movement for Coping with Holiday Season Anxiety

Have you tried TRY (Trauma Recovery Yoga)? If not, now may be the perfect time! Mindfully linking breath and movement, this method offers somatic and stress release. Brenda Hershey, Managing Director of TRY Global, will lead us in this online class open to anyone looking for a much-needed break from holiday season anxiety.

We’ll start with a short self-regulating and centering sequence based in science and psychology, moving with choice from seated to standing, inspiring hope and releasing endorphins through visualization and affirmation, and finishing with a body scan meditation. No yoga experience is required–come as you are! Give yourself this gift of slowing down and checking in this holiday season. We hope to see you on the mat!

Brenda Hershey is a trauma-informed humanitarian, researcher, author, and Executive Director of TRY Global. Her mission is to help people (re)connect mind, body, and spirit, which she pursues through her work with TRY Global, whose mission is to use neuroscience and yoga to create healing worldwide.

In addition to this event, Brenda also offers no-cost Trauma Recovery Yoga sessions to first responders and those in the Route 91 community who’ve been approved for integrative services through the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center. Click here to learn more.
